With so much talks about the Auto Expo 2016 in the market and the attention it is getting, Honda is all set to showcase its beauties. The all new Honda Accord and the Honda BR-V are set for the Expo.

The Honda Accord sedan is all set to make its official comeback. To be showcased at the upcoming Auto Expo 2016, the ninth-generation Accord will be sold in India with the option of petrol and hybrid powertrains.

The Accord’s strengths of solid mechanicals, strong performance and reliability will be carried forward, but now will come with more tech and space on the inside too. To be sold as a CBU in India, the sedan will be priced a bit higher than its direct rival, the Toyota Camry. The hybrid model will also benefit from the FAME scheme and could be priced slightly higher than the standard car.

Besides the Accord, Honda’s second big unveil at the Delhi Auto Expo will be its Creta rival, the BR-V SUV which will be shown in India for the first time.

Although based on the same platform as the Brio, Amaze and the Mobilio, the BR-V looks more angular and rugged. At 2,652mm, the wheelbase is the same as the Mobilio, but there is a possibility of the engines getting an update. There will be the familiar 1.5-litre petrol and the 1.5-litre diesel on offer.

Also likely to be on offer is a CVT gearbox, which if confirmed will be a segment first. Currently, the Amaze and Brio come with a five-speed automatic gearbox in India. This CVT gearbox mated to the petrol motor will be an all-new compact unit developed specifically for the BR-V that uses Honda’s Earth Dreams technology.

Now we are sure that the audience at the Auto expo 2016 will have a lot to see there. All these new rides being showcased will get you excited in no time, so book your tickets in time.
