Today at an event in New Delhi, LeEco launched two of its new Smartphones in India, the LeEco Le2, and the LeEco Le Max2. Both of these phones are the successor to their already available smartphones the LeEco Le1S and the LeEco Le Max. Now the new LeEco LeMax 2 is a superpower smartphone which comes under the phablet category and is powered by one of the best hardware combination seen in any smartphone yet.
Although the Phone is their flagship device and is more than powerful enough to be compared with the Samsung Galaxy S7 and LG G5 we first compare the smartphone with other’s available in the Same Price Bracket.
The LeEco LeMax 2 will be launched in two variants in India, a 4GB of Ram along with 32GB of storage would be available for RS 22,999 while the 6GB of RAM with 64GB storage for RS 29,999 . The phone would be sold via LeEcos LeMall.com and Flipkart starting on June 28th.

For RS 22,999 Xiaomi’s Mi 5 comes with 3GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, whereas the Huawei Honor 7 is priced at RS 22,999. None of the phones offers a similar experience & power that you get with the LeMax 2 making it a winner in the pricing category.

The New LeEco Le Max2 offers a full metal unibody design with chamfered edges and Qualcomm’s Sense ID 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner at the back of the device. The new fingerprint scanner can scan your fingers event when they are wet and sweaty. The Xiaomi Mi 5 also offers a unibody design along with the metal frame and 2.5D curved glass on front and back which adds to the overall look of the device. Honor 7, on the other hand, features a unibody metal design and fingerprint sensor at the back just like the Le Max2. So it’s a tie on the design from and more of your personal preference.
The LeEco’s Le Max2 comes with a 5.7-inch QHD IPS LCD display running at a resolution of 2560x1440pixels, the pixel density of 515ppi and maximum brightness of 450nits. While others in the same price segment come with a 1080p screen LeEco LeMax 2 comes with a 2K display.This makes the LeMax 2 VS any other device pretty much useless in terms of Display.
The Huawei Honor 7 sports a 5.2-inch full HD (1080p) IPS-NEO LCD display with pixel density of 424ppi, while the Mi 5 is equipped with a 5.15-inch full HD (1080p) IPS LCD display with pixel density of 428ppi and maximum brightness of 600-nits.

The LeEco Le Max2 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 quad-core chipset clocked at 2.15GHz, Adreno 530 GPU, and features either 4GB or 6GB of RAM, depending on the storage variant that you choose. Xiaomi Mi 5 is also powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 530 GPU. The Honor 7, on the other hand, is powered by Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 935 octa-core chipset paired with Mali-T628 GPU and 3GB of RAM.
In terms of Storage , LeEco Le Max2 would be offered in 32GB and 64GB variants, while the Mi 5 is offered in 32GB onboard storage. Unfortunately, neither the LeEco LeMax 2 nor the Xiaomi Mi5 comes with an expandable storage option. The Honor 7 comes with 16GB onboard storage and a microSD card slot that accepts cards up to 128GB.

In the Camera department, the Le Max2 sports a 21-megapixel rear shooter with an aperture f/2.0, PDAF and optical image stabilization (OIS). On the front side, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera of aperture f/2.2 for selfies and video calling. The Xiaomi Mi 5 sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with OIS, aperture f/2.0 and 4-axis stabilization, and a 4-megpaixel front camera of aperture f/2.0. The Honor 7 comes equipped with a 20-megapixel rear camera with aperture f/2.0 and PDAF but lacks OIS. Up front is an 8-megpaixel selfie camera of aperture f/2.4. While the Mi 5 and Le Max2 supports 4K video recording, it is missing on the Honor 7.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 comes with a 3,000mAh battery, and Honor 7 and Le Max2 is armed with a 3,100mAh battery. The Mi 5 and Le Max2 also support fast charging feature. On the connectivity front, you get 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth and GPS on all three devices. The Mi 5 and Le Max2 also get the USB Type-C reversible connector and VoLTE support.
One of the highlights feature of the LeEco LeMax 2 is that it has USB Type-C port that also works as an audio output port with CDLA (Continual Digital Lossless Audio) technology, which the company claims to offer high-quality uncompressed audio listening experience. LeEco has also ditched the traditional 3.5mm audio jack in favor of the USB Type-C port.
