One of the best features of the new iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S plus is the ability to record 4k videos. Through Apple has added this feature with the new camera on the iPhone but it doesn’t come turned on by default due to the size of the 4K videos. You have to turn this by going into the settings app on the new iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6S Plus.
How to enable 4K video on iPhone 6s
Step 1: Open the Settings app
Step 2: Tap Photos & Camera
Step 3: Scroll down to the Camera heading, and tap the Record Video section
Step 4: Tap the 4K option to enable 4K video on your iPhone 6s
Once you launch the Camera app, switch to Video mode, and you’ll see a 4K logo next to the shutter button.
Do keep in mind that the 4K video take up a lot of space on the iPhone, according to Apple a minute of video on the iPhone 6S at
- 720p at 30 Frames per second will be around 60 MB
- 1080p at 30 Frames per second will be around 130 MB
- 1080p at 60 Frames per second will be around 200 MB
- 4K Video file will be around 375 MB
