WWDC 2016 was a gift to developers as the company opened up most of its APIs and resources to them. With this said other unveilings at the event also include the macOS which was renamed, tvOS introducing more apps and a redesign, watchOS more customization to the watch complications and of course iOS with some major redesigns. The new iOS 10 lock screen does not dim the wallpaper as it used to in iOS 9.
Notification Collapsing and Interaction
When more than a few new notification pops up on the, there is a long list which is pretty tedious. Following up on the Android platform, iOS 10 lock screen accumulates all the notifications into one tab. Upon 3D touch, all of the notifications can be accessed at once. There is also an option to toggle this feature for a particular app.
The latest beta also lets you interact with information 3D touch, for example, you can continue a conversation with after you’ve opened a Message notification with 3D Touch.
Good Bye ‘Slide to Unlock’
The most famous gesture to unlock your device by swiping across the screen has come to an end. Now you have to press the Home button to unlock your iPhone. Now swiping to the left gives you access to the widgets section where all native and third party app will have their widget listed with interactive features. Swiping on the right gives the Camera app. honestly better than sliding up.
New Control Center, Notification Center
Notification center has been redesigned from scratch, having rounded corners instead of the edge-to-edge panel. The toggling buttons change colors.
Cellular data button was not shown but some tweaking around a user on Twitter, Andrew Wiik, indicates that Apple might introduce it soon. The same user also confirmed the dark mode coming on iOS 10 in near future.
Is Apple going to finally give us the cellular data toggle we desire? (no icon for some reason) pic.twitter.com/6SmWAdUDOv

There are two panes to the Control Center – one for the antenna toggles, Quick actions and the other dedicated to the Music app. The Notification center on the iOS 10 lock screen and home screen can now be cleared by 3D touch which pops up Clear All option. The Quick actions have also been tweaked to work with 3D touch.
The bugs, of course, exist in the beta as it is the first one. Apple, as mentioned previous year, will have a public beta when all the people can register to participate and try on the new iOS 10. Presently, the developers only have the access to the beta.
