Lenovo today finally announced their new Smartphone the Lenovo K4 note today, at a press event in New Delhi, In case you missed the announcement make sure to take a look at our live blog. The phone would be selling on Amazon by various flash sales. Here is ever thing you need to know about the Lenovo K4 Note or the Lenovo Vibe K4 Note.
Lenovo Vibe K4 Note Hands-On
During today’s launch event Lenovo Made one thing clear at first, they were not targeting the specification focused audience and going into a specs war, like what Yutopia went into. Rather they wanted to focus more on the user experience while building quality hardware.
The New Lenovo Vibe K4 Note is not a major hardware upgrade when compared to is predecessor the Lenovo K3 Note. When you compare their specifications you won’t find any major bumps rather than the Ram upgrade, addition of Dolby Atmos and Fingerprint scanner. The phone was focused around VR and bringing the Cinema or Theater experience to your smartphone. Its Bundled with ANTVR headset along with TheaterMax VR Software.
Design and Build of Lenovo Vibe K4 note are different from that of the Lenovo K3 Note, it seems pretty similar to what we have seen on Lenovo Vibe S1, which was launched last year. Lenovo has also included the Fingerprint sensor on the back similar to Nexus 6 along with removal back which houses the micro SD and SIM Slots.
The Lenovo K4 Note has curved metallic side which hints a design clues from Motorola seen on Vibe S1. According to Lenovo, the design has been specially optimized for multimedia watching.
The Lenovo Vibe K4 Note weights at 158 grams and the smartphone feel pretty light in the hand. The slimmest point is at 3.8 mm whereas the thickest is at 9.1 mm. One of the best things about the Lenovo Vibe K4 Note are the Dolby speakers at top and bottom of the front side, similar to HTC Boomsound. The phone doesn’t give you that premium feel that you would get with a Oneplus X but its doesn’t feel cheap either.
We did not test the Phone and its camera quality due to poor lighting conditions at the event, but we will test the device one we get the review unit from Lenovo. Talking about the display on the K4 Note, its a 5.5-inch High definition display with a pixel density of 441 ppi. It has wide viewing angles at 178 degrees along with 450 Nits of brightness.
Lenovo’s main focus with the device was in the TheaterMax VR and ANTVR Gear. The VR unit has plastic body with form pads form fitting on the head. Software seems good, thought we needed more time with it which Lenovo didn’t provide.
So the Lenovo Vibe K4 Note looks to be a good device and its prices at RS 11,999 for just the Lenovo K4 Note and RS 12499 for the ANTVR Bundle. It is one of the best phone under RS 12000 in India right now, but if the performance lacks during the real world testing then the Phone might fail.
