Meizu came to fame with the great success of its last flagshp device, Meizu MX5, and the much liked, Meizu Pro 5 in 2015. The Chinese Tech Giant have higher aims for 2016 with their new flagship, Meizu MX6. This new flagship device from Meizu is supposed to be launched during summer this year, and if some leaks are to be believed, the Meizu MX6 packs in some serious punch.
There are some new leaks on the Chinese website, Weibo, displaying alleged Antutu benchmarks of Meizu MX6. These leaks show that the Meizu MX6 will house a MediaTek Helio X20 chipset with a staggering 10 core 3 cluster processor.
A break of these 10 cores revealed the following details: 2x Cortex-A72 at 2.5GHz, 4x Cortex-A53 at 2.0GHz, 4x Cortex-A53 at 1.4GHz, adding up to a total 10 cores. If these leaks are true then Meizu’s new flagship would be the first device to use a 10 core processor.
Further spec-leaks show that the Meizu MX6 would come with a Mali T880 GPU, and 3GB of RAM. Personally we feel 3GB of RAM could prove to be a negative point about this phone as most flagships are coming out with a 4GB DDR4 RAM. The Meizu MX6 is expected to have 32GB of internal memory and 1080p Full HD Display. It is expected to come running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow (Flyme UI). The latter part of specs do seem too 2015 to be a serious choice of Meizu for its 2016 flagship, only time will reveal.
The Meizu MX5, Meizu’s 2015 flagship, which had a X10 chipset had retailed in India for Rs 19,990. Thus we expect the Meizu MX6 to be priced somewhere near to that too. Hopefully Meizu will keep in mind the progress in technology and improve upon the specs which clearly seem to be lagging.
