The new iPhone 5SE might be coming this April and Apple has surprises for us. The rumors of a smaller “6S” would now be a smaller version of the iPhone 5S in a 4-inch size screen. The shape would be curved and chamfered edges, which would almost feel like the 3GS. According to 9to5Mac, the new iPhone will adopt the design of 5S and have the headphone jack still included, though previous reports suggest otherwise.
The name of the new iPhone feels odd. The “SE” could be the iPhone 5S but enhanced, both in hardware and software. The working name internally was N69 but will be released with the name iPhone 5SE.
9to5Mac has also put up a list of upgrades that would be seen in the new iPhone which includes the smooth, chamfered edges replacing with glass and the white bands, 8-megapixel front camera 1.5-megapixel rear camera, larger panoramas along with autofocus video recording. It also includes Barometer for tracking elevation in height in the health app. The phone NFC chip for Apple Pay, A8 and M8 chips from the iPhone 6.Coming to antennas Bluetooth 4.2, VoLTE, and 802.11ac WiFi chips taken from the iPhone 6s. It will support Live Photos and the colors the iPhone 5SE will have are the same Silver, Space Gray, Gold & Rose Gold variants in color.
Images that have leaked yesterday surfaced on 9to5Mac clearly shows the size of the iPhone 5SE, though many previous photos like these were a sham. These images first appeared on the forum One More Thing. Though the phone is of iPhone 5’s size the buttons have been relocated and the edges have been rounded. Now, we just have to wait for the nest Apple event for this major unveiling.
