The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 EDGE are finally here! Amid speculations, rumors and leaks for months, Samsung has finally launched the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge devices at the MWC 2016.
The Galaxy S7 comes with a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with quad HD resolution. Two SoC configurations are offered for the Galaxy S7 device – first being Exynos 8890 and second being Snapdragon 820. The Galaxy S7 comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage plus a MicroSD card slot, which is a first from Samsung. The Battery on the Galaxy S7 is 3000mAh and like before, a fingerprint sensor is housed in the home button.
The S7 Edge has a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with quad HD resolution. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 820 processor along with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and 3600mAh battery.
Samsung is using a new Britecell technology for the Galaxy S7 for better low-light photography to retain its position at the top of phone cameras. Both the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge feature ‘Dual Pixel’ 12MP f/1.7 cameras rear camera and a 5MP selfie shooter in the front.
The Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are IP68 water and dust resistance and capable of wireless charging.
Pricing for these devices in India has not been revealed yet but it is believed that they will make their way to India by March end.
