The VAIO division of Sony had launched its first Android based phone last year. Come 2016, VAIO has launched a new model in the smartphone industry. Called as the VAIO Phone Biz, the new smartphone marks a switch from Android to Windows in VAIO smartphones. Perhaps VAIO wants a work-phone feel for it new device.
Phone Biz will support the Continuum feature which is a USP for the windows platform. It allows the phone to be used as a computer once it has been plugged into a television set or a monitor.
Coming to specifications, the VAIO Phone Biz comes with a 5.5″ FHD display (1920X1080p). It is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core SoC, complimented by 3GB of RAM. The VAIO Phone has a internal storage of 16 GB which is easily expandable up to 64 GB. Coming to the camera, the VAIO Phone Biz has a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP front camera. The device also supports 4G LTE and is powered by a 2,800 mAh battery.
The VAIO Phone Biz will come in a Silver color variant and will be priced close to US $430 (approximately Rs. 29,000) when it enters the Japanese market in April.
