The numbers of rumors and leaks are increasing manifold for the likes of LG, Samsung and Xiaomi. These are the big 3 of smartphone world which are set to unveil their flagship devices in a few days at the MWC 2016 in Barcelona. Some new leaked images of the Xiaomi Mi5 flagship have come out which put more light on the design details and some specifications.
The image of the ‘alleged’ Xiaomi Mi5 shows it running Xiaomi’s MIUI build 184.108.40.206. on Android 6 Marshmallow, and the processor seems to be clocked at 2.1 GHz. The leaks regarding Xiaomi Mi5 also suggest that the device feautures 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage confirming earlier rumors. We do know that the Xiaomi Mi5 is supposed to be launched in various variants so this could be just one of them.
From what can be deciphered from earlier rumors, these are the Xiaomi Mi5 variant details:
The Xiaomi Mi5 (metallic build) will have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with a price tag of CNY 2,199 (approx Rs 22,650) according to the Xiaomi Mi5 leaks that have recently emerged. The second variant boasts 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with a price tag of CNY 2,599 (approx Rs 26,500).
The Xiaomi Mi5 leaks also says that a Xiaomi Mi5 variant with 2.5D curved glass will also be unveiled with a QHD display and 4GB of RAM in the future. Now this variant, according to the Xiaomi Mi5 leaks, will ship in two separate variants of its own. One with internal storage of 32GB priced at CNY 2,799 (approx Rs 29,000) and the other one being a 64GB variant priced at CNY 3,099 (approx Rs 32,000 ).
The Xiaomi Mi5 is expected to have a 5.2-inch Quad HD display powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset like many other flagships this year. It also suggested the phone will have a 6-element 16MP camera on the back with f/2.2 (Or as some are claiming f/1.6 ?) aperture and 4K video recording.
On the design front, the Xiaomi MI5 seems to be going the Coolpad/LeEco way as the Mi5 seems to have very thin bezels just like the Coolpad note 3 or the Letv Le1s/Le Max. There are chances that the Xiaomi Mi5 might not sport 2.5D curved glass.
