If flagship trends are to be noticed, most of the tech giants release their flagship devices in more than variants. Apple has moved onto having more than a single variant for its iPhone and Samsung and Sony etc release theirs in multiple of colors, giving a choice to the consumer to pick up their favourite smartphone with specs according to their need. The new player to join the bandwagon is Xiaomi, if rumors are to be believed.
A little birdy (to be more exact, an insider) let it slip recently that Xiaomi would be having two variants for the Xiaomi Mi5. Though these are more to do than just sporting different colors. One of the variants will have a 2.5D curved glass in front and a metal frame at theback. The other variant is expected to be more of a premium one with all metal body. Also, the former is supposed to have a FHD display while the latter will allegedly have a QHD display.
Though what has been said is that the size of both variants of the Xiaomi Mi5 will be the same. If the new rumor holds water, then, the latter version will be launched with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage while the latter would be launched containing a 4GB RAM and a 64GB internal storage house in a all metal frame. And, a new leak yesterday also seems to point to a black variant of the Xiaomi Mi5.
To refresh your memory we would just repeat what we know of the Xiaomi Mi5 till now. It is expected to have a 5.2 Inch QHD display and a Snapdragon 820 chipset alongside 3GB/4GB of RAM and atleast 32GB of memory. The snappers on the Xiaomi Mi5 are expected to be a 16MP main camera and a 13MP front snapper keeping in mind Xiaomi’s strategy to sell phones to selfie lovers.
The strong and stylish Xiaomi Mi5 is expected to pack in a strong 3600 mAh battery pack supporting Quick Charge 3.0. We expect the Xiaomi Mi5 to be launched running on the company’s MIUI7.1 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Chinese Tech Giant will be launching the Xiaomi Mi5 on 21st Jan 2015.
