For long now Xiaomi has been teasing its fan with the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi 3 device. Xiaomi on its various social platforms had pegged the global launch date for the Xiaomi Redmi 3 as 12th Jan 2015 and it was launched in China yesterday.

The specifications of the Xiaomi Redmi3 are quite decent. The smartphone houses a 5.0″ display with a 1280 X 720 resolution, as the teaser had already revealed earlier. It’s powered a well reputed Snapdragon 616 octa core processor. Four of the cores are clocket at 1.2 GHz while the other four cores are clocked at 1.5 GHz.

Xiaomi Redmi 3 comes with an expected, 16 GB of internal storage which can be expanded to 128 GB. But keeping all these specs on one side, the biggest highlight of the Xiaomi Redmi 3 is its humongous 4,100 mAh battery. The phones seems to have some serious juice and would most probably last long. The Xiaomi Redmi 3 runs on the latst MIUI7.1 though the android version of the phone is yet unknown to us.

Xiaomi Redmi 3, as expected, comes with a 13 MP rear shooter with LED flash and is capable of shooting 1080p FHD video. The front snapper on the Xiaomi Redmi 3 is 5 MP, which too is capable of 1080p FHD recording. The smartphone is a dual SIM device, as is characteristic of the Redmi series. One of these slots is for a Nano-SIM while the other is for a Micro-SIM and then there of course is the MicroSD slot. With an all metal body and a new diamond shaped pattern on the back , the Xiaomi Redmi 3 is priced competitively at Rs 7,000.
